CSA Certification Explained:
This brake shoe meets the requirements for certification by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). The CSA Certification requires the brake to meet a tough set of standards before being sold in Canada. Meeting this certification requirement ensures you are getting a safe and quality-made product. This brake shoe underwent extensive testing to measure stopping distances when braking, and it has also been tested for braking performance in a complete vehicle and trailer setup under real-world conditions to provide the most realistic scenario for the everyday driver.
Automotive Friction Material Explained:
Each shoe is made with automotive-grade friction material for improved stopping performance and longevity. The friction material is 100% bonded onto the surface of the brake shoe. This lining is both custom-molded and hot molded on the shoe for a perfect fit. The edges are tapered to ensure long-lasting performance. This taper, along with the circular grinding that the lining undergoes, helps prevent cracking and crumbling and helps to prevent mechanical lockup when brake shoes are excessively worn or broken. The high performance material will continue to stand the test of time, all the way down until you contact the metal shoe.
