CSA Certification Explained:
This brake shoe meets the requirements for certification by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). The CSA Certification requires the brake to meet a tough set of standards before being sold in Canada. By meeting this certification requirement you are getting a safe and quality made product. This brake shoe underwent extensive testing to measure stopping distances when braking. It has also been tested for braking performance in a complete vehicle and trailer setup and under real-world conditions to provide the most realistic scenario for the everyday driver.
QAI Testing and CSA certification:
These brake assemblies meet and exceed the requirements for Canadian Standards Association (CSA). CSA certification requires a brake to stop a regulated load in a set distance and to be built to industry standards. In addition, these brakes have also been tested by QAI for braking performance in a complete automotive setup and under real-world conditions. Automotive-Grade Friction Material:
Axle Technology brought the power of automotive-grade friction material to the trailer brake market. This provides improved stopping power and longevity. The friction material is fully bonded to the surface of the shoe. The lining is custom-molded on the shoe which provides a perfect fit and eliminates or reduces the chance of cracking and crumbling. In addition, tapered edges protect against mechanical lockup, which can occur when brake shoes are excessively worn or broken.
The friction material is SAE-N certified. SAE-N means the material is environmentally safe and complies with California and Washington regulations. As a result, this material not only provides high-performance braking and stands the test of time but is also environmentally friendly and safe to use in both the United States and Canada.
