CSA Certification Explained:
This brake shoe meets the requirements for certification by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). The CSA Certification requires the brake to meet a tough set of standards before being sold in Canada. By meeting this certification requirement it ensures you are getting a safe and quality made product. This brake shoe underwent extensive testing to measure stopping distances when braking. Automotive-Grade Friction Material:
Axle Technology brought the power of automotive-grade friction material to the trailer brake market. This provides improved stopping power and longevity. The friction material is fully bonded to the surface of the shoe. The lining is custom-molded on the shoe which provides a perfect fit as well as eliminates or reduces the chance of cracking and crumbling. In addition, tapered edges protect against mechanical lockup, which can occur when brake shoes are excessively worn or broken.
The friction material is SAE-N certified. SAE-N means the material is environmentally safe and complies with California and Washington regulations. As a result, this material not only provides high-performance braking that stands the test of time, it is also environmentally friendly and safe to use in both the United States and Canada.
