Module is designed for cases where enhanced trailer detection is required involving vehicle OEM built-in brake controllers. What happens is the brake controller will not output voltage to the brakes unless it detects "Trailer connected". By creating the resistance that a normal electric brakes magnet produces, this adapter module will cause the OEM built-in brake controller to show "trailer connected" and send voltage to the pump. Note: This adapter does not guarantee to solve all brake controller compatibility issues in the marketplace. Dexter does not design OEM brake controllers or when new model year changes are released and this should be considered.
